Testing Accessories

Testing accessories are components used with materials testing machines to hold specimens, measure force and deformation, and control test temperatures. They are mainly used for hold specimens of different shapes securely and measure how the materials respond to tensile, compression, and other mechanical tests. Available accessories include test grips and fixtures, environmental chambers for high- and low-temperature tests, high-temperature furnaces, sensors and load cells, extensometers, and strain gauges. For reliable test results, testing accessories need to match both the material and the test method so they can hold the specimen securely, measure force and deformation accurately, and control the temperature when required.

    1. Furnaces

      Furnaces

High-temperature split tube furnaces are designed for use with universal testing machines, creep testing machines, and other compatible mechanical testing equipment.

    1. High and Low Temperature Test Chamber

High and Low Temperature Test Chamber

High and low temperature test chambers (WGDN/WGDY) are used with universal, fatigue, and composite materials testing machines to test specimens at temperatures from −70°C to +350°C.

    1. High Temperature Test Chamber

      High Temperature Test Chamber

High temperature test chambers are used during mechanical tests to see how heat or cold affects a material. The specimen stays inside the chamber at a set temperature as the testing machine pulls, compresses, or bends it.

    1. High Temperature Vacuum Furnace

      High Temperature Vacuum Furnace

High-temperature vacuum furnaces provide the controlled environment required to test materials under heat and vacuum conditions.

    1. Clip-on Extensometer

      Clip-on Extensometer

Clip-on extensometers attach directly to a specimen and measure how much the distance between two contact points changes as the material stretches or compresses.

    1. Video Extensometer

      Video Extensometer

Video extensometers use monocular 3D digital image correlation (DIC) to measure deformation without touching the specimen.

    1. High-Temperature Extensometer

      High-Temperature Extensometer

Side-entry high-temperature extensometers use measuring arms that reach the heated specimen through an opening in the furnace. They measure small changes in specimen length during static tensile and compression tests.
